Anatomical diagram of the posterior portion of a male C. elegans nematode. Image includes extensive use of 4-tiered layering to create subtle shading of organs to best illustrate their relationships to each other, and accurately depicts the anatomical "switch" between the animal's vas deferens and intenstine near the animal's tail, an arrangement difficult to express using a layered SVG diagram. This nomination is a follow-up to a previously featured picture of a hermaphrodite of the same animal. Accuracy of diagram may be verified at the Wormatlas.
Have added a list of references used in the creation of the overall image, see image page for details. I have also reviewed the image note for the rendering error in Firefox but have not been able to determine the nature of the error-- can you elaborate just a bit for me, El Grafo? Even just a line or two about what you are seeing would be helpful. Thanks! KDS444 (talk) 14:54, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the sources, support now. --El Grafo (talk) 15:17, 27 August 2013 (UTC) The error is really small, so I took a screenshot and uploaded a crop of it: File:C elegans male.svg rendering error.png – a part of the green line is missing. In the pre-rendered png-versions provided by Mediawiki this looks perfectly fine though.[reply]
Kelvin: Have removed the stray bit, fixed the sensory ray openings (gradients were causing the squares-- strokes are working better), and joined the label brackets, as per your suggestions. KDS444 (talk) 18:28, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
