- Info: With navigation light mast lowered for bridges, sea-going tugboat April Moran, heads down the Elizabeth River at dusk off Norfolk, Virginia, USA. - created - uploaded - nominated by GRDN711 (talk) 18:28, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

- Neutral The light in this pic is really beautiful, but I can't help feeling the focus has been missed, it doesn't seem quite sharp. But I don't want to oppose such a lovely scene. Cmao20 (talk) 15:33, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose Very nice light and mood, but unfortunately not sharp enough and though the lowered navigation light mast (not an antenna) has some educational value, it spoils the contour of the boat a bit. Better to catch it on the other side of the bridge. --Cart (talk) 10:22, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose per W.Carter. --Fischer.H (talk) 16:57, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Comment @W.carter: @Cmao20: @Fischer.H: Thank you, Cart, for the more specific terminology. I have changed “antenna” to “navigation light mast” in all parts of the image description.
- Make a better image with the mast up? - I have no control over the boat; only my camera and the recognition of subject and light. I mentioned this mast because I wanted viewers to understand that is normal for it to be in the down position when this tug is working in this part of the river. I don’t feel it detracts.
- Of course, there is always a story... The April Moran is already past all the bridges upriver to the left and is heading out towards the Atlantic. The winter sun was setting in the late afternoon providing that lovely liquid light. The historic Norfolk skyline, including church spires, was in the background and my reflector was behind me. That reflector happened to be an eight-story, all-white office building that helped fill in the shadow side of the boat. I walked up to the dock about a minute before the April Moran came by.
- Have re-processed the image to sharpen slightly. Hopefully, this may change minds. --GRDN711 (talk) 01:39, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for trying, but it is still not sharp enough for me. I think unfortunately it is a focus issue rather than simply being undersharpened, so there may not be a lot that can be done about it. Cmao20 (talk) 16:12, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose Just a well-done but unexceptional picture of a tugboat. Daniel Case (talk) 17:25, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
