The 400 year old tradition - two day festivity of Santiago Apostol de Quingua Salubong Festival 2021 is held annually on December 29-30 8:30 am of the Santiago Apostol Church (Plaridel) Roman Catholic Diocese of Malolos in Barangay Poblacion, Plaridel; It has 3 parts led by a) "Sundo" from Plaridel Church to Sipat Chapel or Category:Bisita ng Banal na Krus (Sipat Itaas, Plaridel, Bulacan), b) Salubong or welcome because the James the Great's equestrian replica is transferred from Sipat Chapel to Quingua Church; it is also called Horse festival because they parade i) Category:Calesas ii) colorful tiburins (non-roofed calesa) Harness racing with Category:Harness racing drivers from the Philippines Category:Horse riding in the Philippines (Equestrianism ) Calesas and Tiburins driven by Cochero Coachman Kutsero iii) Street dance Folk dance Liturgical dance Ceremonial dance Category:Street (Liturgical-folk) dancing in the Philippines ; iv) Category:Marching bands in the Philippines v) parade of Category:Saint James Moorslayer statue at the Quingua Church and v) Concelebrated Fiesta Mass presided by Ramón Cabrera Argüelles assisted by Pastores de Quinqua Church Assistants Fr. Menald S. Leonardo and Parish Priest Fr. Rufino L. Sulit. c) Fiesta parade at 2:00 p.m. next day or on December 30. The colorful parade (street dancers, women wearing the baro't saya with hats, dance to the song dedicated to Santiago Apostol de Compostela in Spain - the original image of St. James on a white horse was brought by the Spaniards in the 1800s.
