English: For photographs of cats with face, paws and tailpoints (tips) of a darker color than the main body. The colourpoint-gene causes the typical pattern, which originates in the Siamese cat breed. Each of the cat coat colours comes in three types of colourpoint coat patterns:
- point, the classic Siamese-style dark face, ears, legs and tail on a contrasting white or cream base, and blue eyes
- mink, Tonkinese-style, an unique intermediate between the other two, in which the base is a lighter shade but still harmonious with the point color, and the cats have lighter golden-amber or green eyes
- sepia ("solid"), Burmese-style, in which the color is essentially uniform over the body with only faintly visible points and golden-amber or green eyes
