Summary[edit]
DescriptionSchematic diagram of Nevill Mott's model for alpha particle excitation of bubbles in a cloud chamber.png |
English: Alpha particle isotropic emission at the black dot results in a linear cloud chamber track. Mott's explanation is correlation of the positions of atoms in the quantum state for the excited track. Such correlations require quantum state space in Schrodinger's equation, not just 3D space. |
