Summary[edit]

Description
English: Shows an overview of station data continuity in GHCN-v2 from 1880 to 2010. Each gray pixel is a month where a non-missing mean temperature exists in the v2.mean file downloaded in May 2010. Time goes across and stations go down (ordered by country, station identifier, modifier, and duplicate number). China, Russian Federation (Asian Sector), Canada, United States of America, Australia, Russian Federation (European Sector) and Turkey are shaded (and the respective shaded blocks appear in that order in the graphic.
