A codom(inate) tree joint reduces the support leverage by distance and shape.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: A co-dominant joint is 2 competing primaries in a tree joint, instead of a more ball-in-socket joint where only one is primary and engulfs the other to a deep, round bonding and no definitive shear line separation. A codom by contrast gives a potential shear line between the 2 wings, instead of a more dove tailed or ball-in-joint imagery engagement. This all also takes the shape of the wood away from more Natural, or organic round geometry of equilateral leveraged distances across(even if not perfectly so is more organically inspired from from the needs of weight bearing) every member vs. now a more half oval, with the greatest load bearing commonly across the thinnest axis, that has the least leveraged distance between compression and tension fields created...
