Philomath Contestants Robert M. Russell, Jr., the Philomath debater, is oneof the most prominent men in school—an all-roundgood fellow. Last year he had the honor of winningthe essay over an experienced contest man, and for thisreason very much can be expected of him. Before mov-ing to New Wilmington, Robert lived in Pittsburg andattended Shadyside Academy, where he made a splen-did record as a student. It is one of the redetming fea-tures about him, the fact that he was once a student.Not only has he been an active worker along literarylines, but he has also been one of the best track menWestminster ever had. Besides all these things, he isa fellow very fond of social events. Genial, sympathetic,of strong character, he has ever won many warm friends,and the indications are that he will fill a useful placein the world. Edward A.
