Name: Jaffa St. Anthonys Church
Description: St. Anthonys Church is a Franciscan Catholic church. The church was built in 1932 and replaced St. Peters Church in Kedumim Square as the main Catholic church in the city. Today it is used by foreign Catholic workers in Gush Dan.

שם: יפו כנסיית אנטוניוס הקדוש
תיאור: כנסיית אנטוניוס הקדוש היא כנסייה פרנציסקנית קתולית.הכנסייה נבנתה בשנת 1932 והחליפה את כנסיית פטרוס הקדוש שבכיכר קדומים ככנסייה הקתולית המרכזית בעיר. כיום היא משמשת עובדים זרים קתולים בגוש דן, בעיקר מהפיליפינים, וכן את הקהילה הקתולית המקומית.
הערות: הכנסייה מוקדשת לאנטוניוס הקדוש מפאדובה, נזיר פרנציסקני, מטיף ותאולוג, הנחשב לאחד ממורי הכנסייה. המבנה עוצב בסגנון נאו-גותי וצמוד לו מגדל גבוה בעל צריח מחודד. חלונות המבנה עשויים זכוכית צבועה,ב-22 במאי 1995 פרץ לכנסייה חייל צה"ל בן 21, אשר השליך רימוני הלם, ירה צרורות מנשקו האישי וגרם נזק כבד למקום. באירוע לא נפגע איש. לאחר מעצרו סירב החייל לשחזר את המעשה, בטענה שמטעמי אמונה אינו יכול לבוא בשערי כנסייה. הוא נידון למאסר של ארבע שנים וחצי.(ויקיפדיה)
